Artist's Description

Golden-hour lighting and close-up image framing highlight the soft textures and gentle curves of yellow chrysanthemum petals. The sharp color contrast between the mature golden bloom and deeply shadowed background emphasizes the intimacy of this flower portrait.

About Jennifer Nelson

Jennifer Nelson

I have long admired the ethos and creativity of British socialist and artist William Morris and the Arts & Craft Movement he inspired. He could look at the natural world thriving around his idyllic Kelmscott Manor and draw nature-themed designs for wallpaper, tapestries, book-page illuminations, tile glazing, and wood carving that realized his vision of "transform[ing] the world with Beauty." I want to contribute Beauty to our world, too, through my nature photography and my explorations of tessellated digital art creation.
